A Fathers Journey – How a Terrible Tragedy
Sparked Justice & Social Reform.
Ken Marslew
I am honored and moved to have an incredible man in the studio today.
One night in 1994 in the upper middle class suburb of Jannali in Sydney, Australia, a tragedy was unfolding.
An 18 Year old University Student who was working in a Pizza Restaurant to help pay his way through College, was callously shot dead during a robbery gone wrong. Michael Marslew was trying to warn his colleagues at the time.
6 Months after the event, four young men were arrested and later convicted of his murder.
Later, an extraordinary event occurred. For the first time those responsible and convicted of a murder, met face to face in the same room with the parents, family and friends of Michael Marslew.
I have with me today Ken Marslew, the father of Michael Marslew.
Join me as Ken takes us on a roller coaster of emotions as he tells us of the effect of his sons murder and his fight for social & justice reform.

The Big 3 Takeaways
1. Help victims get on their feet and not stay in victim mode.
2. It’s not what happens to you in life that matters, it’s what you do when it happens.
3. Be ready at any moment to give up what you are for what you can become.
