Prepare to ‘Go Long’.

Secrets Of Pacing Yourself In Business & Life Whilst

Achieving  Success,  With CEO & Kona Ironman Triathlete

Greg Patterson

Just imagine waking up super early on a Sunday morning and going for a swim. Not just a dip in the ocean but, a 2.4 mile ocean swim surrounded by people who will swim over you, under you or around you. Add in a few kicks from wayward feet and there you have it.

Then,  when you get out of the water, you  jump on your bike for a 112 mile ride and THEN throw in a 26.2 mile run for good measure.  But, they make it even harder. The World Ironman Triathlon is held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and is renowned for its ultra harsh race conditions & gruelling course layout. Just qualifying  for this race is an amazing feat in itself. Approximately 100,000 triathletes try to qualify but only 2000 make the start line.

That’s what my guest in this episode trains for.

Greg Patterson, MBA, is the CEO of The Advisory Group of San Francisco, an independent financial advisory firm that manages $1BN in assets and celebrates over 20 years of helping clients secure financial independence.

Greg is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley, Hass School of Business. Like many high achievers Greg was determined, hardworking and focused on his business, his kids and getting stuff done.

Then came a giant wake up call, which was the catalyst for Greg to get back in shape. He just didn’t join the local gym or go for a run before work.  Greg trained for and completed a full Ironman Triathlon.  He then qualified for a spot in the Kona World Championships held in Hawaii and this was all at age 50.

Greg believes life is an endurance event and that you have to “go long”.

He believes with the right clarity, plan and support, impossible goals can be made possible.

His family is his inspiration, and triathlons keep him moving.

I loved this interview with this amazing man and I am sure you will too.  Grab a pen and paper, hit the play button and learn from Greg’s incredible wisdom on life and business.
